Stepping Out ‘09
240 pair of children’s pajamas, wrapped, labeled and ready to go to shelters.
100 bags of candies and treats, filled, tied and ready to be mailed to soldiers in the Middle East.
25 gift baskets, assembled and decorated, ready to be given to teenage moms.
110 cross ornaments, packaged with personal handwritten notes and ready to be given as appreciation gifts to volunteers at Austin Life Care.
100 Christmas cards, addressed and ready to be mailed to prison inmates.
150 shoe boxes, gift-wrapped and ready to be filled by Sonshine School children
for Operation Christmas Child.
554 ornaments, labeled, tied and hung on the Giving Tree for ARBC’s Outreach ministry.
This is what almost 200 women did in one short evening. Stepping Out is “fellowship with a purpose”. We ate, we laughed, we enjoyed being together, and at the same time, we gave of ourselves that night to share Christ’s love with seven ministries who in turn will share His love with the ones they pass these things on to over 1200 people.
If you were there, you were blessed by “stepping out” of yourself. If you weren’t able to come, we missed you and hope you will plan to join us next year.
