Steve and his wife Jenny have been members of Austin Ridge Bible Church since 1997 when they first moved to Austin after living for two years in Budapest, Hungary where they were working with the mission organization Operation Mobilization. Steve is a CFP® with a background as a CPA and owns a financial planning firm. Jenny works harder than Steve as a homemaker and part time home school teacher for their four children, Kelsey, Caleb, Tyler and Kara.

Steve and Jenny have served in various ministries at the Ridge over the years including founding, shepherding and teaching in an adult fellowship class, leadership in the Renewal ministry, the Global Outreach team, men’s ministry, the Marriage Matters ministry and Children’s ministry. Steve joined the Elder Board in August 2006.

Born and raised in California, Tod and Sheila moved their family to Austin for a job opportunity and began attending ARBC in 1996.  Tod works in the consumer product manufacturing business and Sheila works part time as a physical therapist.  They have two kids in college, and are transitioning into empty nesters.

Tod gets to know 4th and 5th grade boys as a small group leader on Sunday mornings and loves seeing lives changed as a boat driver at wakeboard camp.  Sheila currently enjoys being a part of the welcome team and mentoring women. They do life together with some fun people as part of an Austin Ridge LifeGroup.

Tod is working on being a harmonizer, has a passion for food, is a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and tries not to miss an opportunity to be on the lake with a boat full of friends.

Originally from Houston, David got to Austin as quickly as he could. He earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas and an MA in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. David worked as a banker for 7 years, and then served on staff with Young Life for 15 years. He joined the staff of Austin Ridge Bible Church in July 2007 after attending here since 1998. David is married to Betsy and has 2 children--a son, Taylor, and a daughter, Lindsay.

David loves running (Finished 5 Austin Marathons and 10 Half Marathons) fly fishing, Barton Springs, the Rocky Mountains and the T-Rex omelet at Magnolia.

Originally from New Jersey and most recently living in Ohio, Dave and Karen are thrilled to be living in sunny Austin and serving the Lord at The Ridge.  In his role as Pastor of Ministries he works alongside Brad to develop and implement The Ridge's purpose, vision and strategy in all of the ministries of The Ridge.  He loves to see all of the team rowing in the same direction. Dave committed his life to Jesus as a freshman in college and has served as a Student Ministries Pastor and Executive Pastor in churches in Florida, Texas, Ohio and back to Texas. Dave and Karen have 2 daughters Amber and Kristy.  Amber lives south of Houston and is a special education teacher.  Kristy and son in law, Michael, live in Northern Kentucky.  Dave enjoys basketball, running, golf and biking with Karen.  

Jim and his wife Bonnie have been blessed greatly with a marriage of 34 years this next October.  They moved to Austin and became members at Austin Ridge in 1983, and then moved to Lakeway in 1986 where they still live.  They have four grown children all living here in Austin.

As a volunteer in our community, Jim has been serving for the past 12 years as a Trustee for Lake Travis ISD, four as its president.  Here at Austin Ridge, Jim served us as the Administrator from 1985 to 1991.  He has also served as an Elder for several terms; his first term was back in 1984.

Jim and Bonnie's passion is to invest their ministry time with marriages:  as marriage mentors, teaching on that subject, and finding ways to encourage and to invest in others' marriages.  They both currently volunteer in the infant nursery and the new member class, are part of a small group, and lead and meet individually with both men's and women's groups.

Bob and Carol have lived in Austin since 1996 and have attended Austin Ridge since that time.
They have 3 children; Baker and his wife Rebekah (Johns), Ben and Elizabeth.  They all live in the Austin area.
Bob previously served as an Austin Ridge elder from 2004 to 2007.  He has also served as a teacher in the Children’s Ministry for several years. 
For the past 4 years Bob has been a small group leader for the 4th grade boys equipping class (and has the scars to prove it)!
Carol serves in the nursery area and in the Prayer ministry.

Brad was born and raised in South Carolina. He attended Clemson University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He married a Texan named Courtney and they laugh a lot with their two kids Lydia and Luke. Brad loves movies and playing golf and has a tendency to have a near death experience every few years just to keep things interesting.

Ken and his wife Cindy and their three sons have attended Austin Ridge Bible Church since 1999. Cindy is a fourth generation Austinite and understood it to be the hand of GOD when Ken's work moved the family here from San Diego. The boys have spread wings to teach/overseas missions (Luke & wife, Shannon), pastor (Derek & wife, Sally & our first grandchild, Evelyn), and finish college and ministry there (Evan). Ken gets excited being involved with internationals (people, language and travel), the military, sailing and Jesus.

Ken and Cindy have enjoyed the various ministries at the Ridge including leading Life Group, teaching and shepherding Adult Education/Equipping, getting down on Sunday morning with the Toddlers, preparing communion, and serving with MOPS (just Cindy). Ken joined the Elder Board in August 2007.

Darryl was born in Bethlehem, PA but spent most of his formative years in Charlotte, NC.  A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Darryl considers his meeting his wife, Julie (a native Texan), his most significant achievement while at UNC.  The Zavodnys have 4 1/2 -year-old twins, Cooper and Lucy, and are in the process of a domestic adoption.  They have lived in Austin since 2004 and have attended Austin Ridge since 2006.

Darryl works for Chick-fil-A and Julie is presently a homemaker.  They authentically enjoy hospitality and cherish time with friends and family around a kitchen table.  You will find them serving in life groups, men's'/women's' ministry, childcare, hospitality, and adoption support.  They have a passion for helping families experience fullness in their personal and collective walk with the Lord.  Despite living in Austin for 7 years Darryl still feels the need to claim, "I married a native Texan", in naive attempts to cement his Texas citizenship.
