CHRISTIAN - IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK by Andy Stanley
Jan 14 – March 31 | 6:30-8:30pm
What one word should be descriptive of every Christian. How Jesus’ followers should treat those who are outside the faith. Why people love Jesus but can’t stand his followers. What does it mean to be Christian? Curiously, the term is never used in Scripture. Instead, Christian was a label used by outsiders to define Jesus’ followers. Jesus referenced ‘disciple’ as the keyword he used to describe his supporters along with the fact that they would be known for their love – a novel concept for their time – and ours today. Through engaging and enlightening sessions, Andy Stanley unpacks these qualities Jesus prescribes for his followers that made them unique. What if believers today embodied these traits? Would the non-believing world put aside its definition of ‘Christian’ and instead know us by our love? No childcare is available for this study.

Wednesday Morning (Precepts):
MARK AND NEHEMIAH
Jan 8 - Apr 22 | 9:30-11:30am
The most important question you will ever answer is this: Who do you believe Jesus Christ is? With all the opinions floating around – He’s a good man, a teacher, a prophet, the Son of God – how can you know who is right? Mark’s account of Jesus’ life gives you the answer, and it is more action-packed and fast-paced than the other three Gospel records. Rather than rehearsing what people said about Jesus, Mark shows you what Jesus actually did. As you learn to carefully observe Mark's report, you’ll discover that Jesus left no doubt about who He claimed to be. His miracles demonstrated His authority over sickness and infirmity, spiritual darkness, dead religion, threats from nature, and even death itself.
How do you respond when the enemy tries to interfere with God's clear direction? The enemies of God sought to frighten Nehemiah as he proceeded to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah shows us leadership and obedience in the face of opposition, as well as God's miraculous blessing and provision.
Even if you are new to Precepts, we invite you to join us and will introduce you to this unique, inductive style of Bible study. No prior experience required!Children's Bible study programming is available for this study.
