Austin Ridge desires to be a church that is dedicated to reaching the unreached in our city through the mobilization of our church body within the Travis Heights community. We are currently doing this through prayer walking and meeting tangible needs through teaching English through English Language Ambassadors (ELA) and academic tutoring through Side by Side Kids (SBSK). Currently, there are 12,000+ refugees living within the Greater Austin area, and the Church has a vital role to play through supporting roles as God brings the Nations to Austin from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, North Africa, etc.

Refugee Fact: In recognition of those who assisted U.S. forces and were endangered as a result, Congress enacted a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program for Iraqis in 2008, and another for Afghans in 2009. Many of the families from Afghanistan and Iraq living within Travis Heights are part of this program.
