Update as of Jan 2025:

  • McGregor Lane access: We have the property under contract that gives us ingress/egress access to McGregor Lane, which will be a huge asset for traffic flow in and out of our campus. We await Hays County’s approval to close on the transaction.
  • TX DOT: TxDot work is approved, and they will soon begin improvements on the area of HWY 290 that is connected to our property.
  • Site Plan approval: The city of Dripping Springs has been reviewing our site plan for 9+ months. We are anticipating the approval of the site plan permit in March. Following this would be approval of our building permit.
  • Value Engineering: Our VE phase of the project (evaluating what cost-saving measures we may want to take) will be completed in the next 30 days.
  • Contractors: We have narrowed our choice of contractors to two. Each of these contractors is experienced, networked, and has the horsepower to execute a project of this size with excellence and in a timely way. We have previously done business with both companies, so they are familiar with ARBC.
  • Audio/Video/Lighting: We are fine-tuning details for AVL of all ministries (Worship Center, Ridge Kids, and Ridge Students).
  • Groundbreaking: We hope to break ground mid-summer. This timing is dependent on site-plan approval in March. (So, we need to pray the city will approve the site plan in March and not defer to a later date).
  • Construction loan: We are in discussion with multiple banks about the construction loan and we plan to decide on this key aspect in April.

  • Greg Hill

    Greg Hill

As an Austin native, Greg loves this place and has a unique perspective and intuitive understanding of its history, people, and needs. He and his wife, Janie, along with a couple of friends, started Southwest Hills Community Church in 1998 with a vision to see the southwest Austin area transformed by the grace and truth of the gospel. That vision entered a new and vibrant phase when SHCC merged with Austin Ridge Bible Church to become Austin Ridge Southwest – our church's first satellite campus. Greg, along his wife, Janie, now lives in Dripping Springs and loves serving as campus pastor in the DS community. Greg and Janie enjoy hiking, fly-fishing, college football, and spending time with their kids and grandkids.

  • Lambert Boyd

    Lambert Boyd

Lambert was born and raised in Houston and moved to Austin to attend UT. While there, he met his wife, Sarah, on a blind date. She is his best friend and, for sure, his better half. God has blessed Lambert and Sarah with a beautiful son and daughter, Luke and Lucy. Lambert loves hanging out with family, doing anything outside (cycling, swimming, fishing, hunting), and watching college football. After spending many years in the corporate sector, Lambert is excited to be working in ministry full time and being able to serve at Austin Ridge. He feels blessed to be part of all God is doing at Austin Ridge.
