    Summer Book Clubs

Summer Book Clubs are a simple, meaningful way to stay connected, grow in faith, and build community over the summer months. Women will gather in homes a few times throughout June and July to discuss a shared book, connect, and get to know one another in a relaxed setting.

This summer, groups will be reading Unoffendable, Consider the Lilies, The Screwtape Letters, and Called Back to Who You Are. We have different days, times, and locations so there is a place for every season and schedule.

We would love for you to join us!

With Jesus: A Summer in Luke Reading Plan

This summer, we’re slowing down to spend time with Jesus through the Gospel of Luke. Whether you’re brand new to reading the Bible or have been following Jesus for years, this is an invitation to open God’s Word, grow in community, and be formed by the life and teachings of Jesus together.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, we’ll journey through Luke with a simple, flexible reading plan designed to fit real life and real summer schedules. Read on your own, with a friend, around a dinner table, at the pool, over coffee, or gather a few neighbors and read together.

Throughout the summer, we’ll send weekly encouragements, reflection questions, optional discussion prompts, and a few simple Read the Bible With Me gathering ideas for anyone who wants to invite others into community and conversation around Scripture.

No pressure. No perfect track record required. Just an opportunity to draw near to God together this summer.

Opt in to receive the reading plan, weekly encouragements, gathering ideas, and summer updates.

    Have Questions?

    • Ginger Armstrong

      Ginger Armstrong

A native Texan, Ginger lived all over the Lone Star State before moving to Kansas City for a job and meeting her late husband, Mark. They later landed in South Florida and entered a spiritually transformative season. Although Ginger grew up knowing about Jesus, it was during this time she began to follow and really know Him. From there, a passion was born, and she now helps women truly grasp who they are in Christ and equips them for the work God has prepared for them.

She is humbled to be a mom to three of the most amazing humans and Gigi to five of the grandest kids. She now calls SW Austin home, along with her youngest daughter Lane, and six (yes, six) dogs that are equal parts wonderful and wild. Drawing from her unexpected life experiences, Ginger encourages women to believe their best days lie ahead and trust that God is not finished with them yet. If you are a woman on the Southwest campus, she wants to connect with you!

    • Carson Martindale

      Carson Martindale

Carson is a native Austinite and has been attending Austin Ridge with her family since 2009. She is a proud grad of Auburn University (War Eagle!), where she studied Global Studies and was instilled with a deep passion for what the Lord is doing to reach His people on a global scale.

When not at the church, you can find Carson trying new restaurants, traveling, spending time with friends, or curled up with a cup of coffee and a book. She is humbled and excited to be used by the Lord at the Ridge!

    • Kacie Flanakin

      Kacie Flanakin

Kacie is a lifelong Austinite and graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she played collegiate soccer and discovered a love for community. Kacie is passionate about helping women feel known, supported, and rooted in their identity in Christ. She is grateful to be part of what God is doing through Austin Ridge and loves serving alongside the Women’s Ministry team. Outside of church, Kacie enjoys staying active, skiing, and baking treats for the people she loves. She feels honored to walk with women as they know, grow, and serve God together!
