NAVIGATING THE DRIFT: AN 8-WEEK STUDY THROUGH THE LIFE OF DAVID

This fall, as we move through 2 Samuel as a church on Sundays, our Dripping Springs Men’s Ministry will be double clicking on the Life of David.

Us men have a tendency to drift in our spiritual walk. We’re in good company. David was most notably called, "a man after God's own heart" (1 Samuel 13:14). While not perfect, his heart posture was one that was pursuing God. And ultimately, chosen by God, he was rooted in who God was, what God had done for him, and who he was in the Lord.

And then he drifted.

As he went through life, he faced various leadership decisions and various life challenges. He boiled to the point where he found himself orchestrating a murder to cover an affair.

This study follows David's life, from a shepherd, to being a cheese runner for his brothers in battle, to being chosen by God to be King, to the rooftop with Bathsheba, and beyond.

How did David handle the Drift? And what can we learn from David’s victories and failures as we navigate the Drift?

Join us for this 8-week study, offered on Thursday evenings + Friday mornings, starting September 10 + 11.

EXPERIENCING GOD: KNOWING + DOING THE WILL OF GOD

This study is for men who are wanting to take their Christian walk to the next level: studying the word, praying for one another, and holding one another accountable. This group meets weekly with the goals of having a closer relationship with God and making a spiritual impact on others as a disciple, a husband and father (if applicable), in the workplace, and all areas of life.
