Beauty and the Beast

This week in 1 Samuel 25, we saw David face another important test—not on the battlefield, but in the face of personal insults from someone he didn't know. When Nabal foolishly dishonored David, David was ready to respond with anger. But Abigail stepped in with wisdom, reminding David that God is our deliverer. Her intervention, the longest speech by a woman in all of Scripture, reminds us that even when we are wronged, we can trust God to handle those who offend us. Simple concept. Difficult execution.
