God on Our Terms

At our Bee Cave campus, we celebrated fifty people going “All In” with Jesus through baptism. The message from 1 Samuel 4–5 explored how easy it is to want God on our own terms—whether through religious routines, performance, or the idols we trust for comfort and control. As we looked at the conflict between Israel and the Philistines, we were challenged to stop trying to use God for our purposes and instead fully surrender to Him. Ultimately, Jesus is the only King who can truly save, satisfy, and free us from the things that compete for our hearts.
