Saul’s Leadership Moment

On Sunday, Brad continued in 1 Samuel 11, where Saul’s rescue of Jabesh Gilead is presented as the high point in his reign as king. Facing the Ammonite threat, Saul demonstrated seven key qualities of effective leadership. This type of leadership leads by example, seeks wise counsel, extends mercy, and gives credit to God rather than self. Even when people make poor choices or fail to trust God fully, His grace and sovereignty remain at work, bringing salvation and joy despite human weakness. The challenge before us is not simply to admire these qualities, but to put them into practice in our homes, workplaces, and community this week.
