It will be a great chance to get to know other men, serve this incredible ministry partner, and eat some authentic Mexican food! This trip is open to men at all three Austin Ridge campuses.

**Please don't allow cost to keep you from attending. If cost is an issue, contact men@austinridge.org.

Location: The trip is to Reynosa, Mexico, approximately 10 miles across the Anzalduis International Bridge from McAllen, TX. Our base of operations is Rio Bravo Ministries (RBM), led by Pastor Ray Hansen. Ray, and his wife Leah, began RBM in 1992 when the city of Reynosa donated land on a literal junkyard. Today, RBM is a walled compound on 6 acres, that contains homes for approximately 75 children (babies through college age), and is the largest school in Reynosa with 430 students. More info available at www.rio-bravo.org and www.facebook.com/riobravomin.

TRAVEL SAFETY! We take your safety very serious. If you have questions or concerns regarding any of our Reynosa trips, please reach out to your trip leader and/or the missions office. We have also put together Reynosa FAQs for safety and travel information, we hope you will find this page helpful.

Activities: The trip activities include work projects at the orphanage and school, plenty of time with the kids, and worship each evening. Those who wish can also spend time working on some projects at a nearby small village or “colonia,” where people live in truly third world conditions. We’ll help with their school and church, and perhaps some local homes.

Projects Include:

1. Framing and sheetrock for new classroom/lab building
2. Obstacle course contruction
3. Installing hanging ceilings
4. Woodworking - storage cabinets
5. Reconfiguration of classrooms

Facilities: RBM has a very clean and safe campus, with high walls surrounding the entire area. We will be eating our meals at the RBM dining room and sleeping in rooms holding up to 8 people with a private bath. The complex has room to house up to 80 guests at any one time.

Application & Cost: The application deadline is September 15. The cost for all meals, rooming, and materials for work projects is $300 per teen/adult with a family maximum of $1,200. We do not want cost to keep anyone away, so please let us know if costs is a concern. If we have more than 50 people who desire to go, we will guarantee positions based on when payment is received in full. All funds are due at the mandatory trip meeting on September 15. These funds are used primarily to procure project materials for the trip, so no refunds will be possible once paid. Checks should be made payable to Austin Ridge Bible Church with Men's Trip in the memo line.

Can I bring my son? If they have a strong work-ethic and can work with minimal supervision (recommend 9th grade and older).
