GriefShare is a Christ-centered group of caring people who will walk along with you through the pain and suffering of losing a loved one to death.

During this 12-week class, you will learn how God is in the midst of your pain and how He desires for your heart to heal. Through the facilitators and participants in the class, you will receive understanding, acceptance and encouragement during your grief journey. Course fee is $25, which includes the GriefShare workbook.

What to Expect: Your 90-minute, weekly, GriefShare class will include video seminars from leading experts on grief recovery, safe and supportive small group discussion led by facilitators who have personal experience and healing in grief, and workbook study to help you along your grief journey.

    Sunni Larsen

    Sunni is a native Texan and a graduate of Baylor University, where she earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Psychology. She practiced as a licensed professional counselor for more than 15 years and is a Certified Life Coach.

    While at Baylor, Sunni met her husband, Chris. They have two adult children: Caleb, who lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, and Cameran, who lives in Waco with her husband.

    Sunni has served alongside Chris in every church they have called home in Louisiana, Texas, and Washington. She is grateful to be back in Texas, serving at Austin Ridge, and is passionate about walking with women through every season of life. She loves hearing people's stories and helping them discover the hope, purpose, and freedom found in Jesus Christ and His Word.

    When she's not at church, Sunni enjoys soaking up the Texas sunshine, taking long walks, baking, gathering around the table with family and friends, and lingering over meaningful conversations in one of Austin's many great coffee shops.

    Janessa Kupfer

    Janessa is from California and moved to Texas in 2019 to marry her husband, Landon Kupfer. Some of her favorite things include spending time with her husband and goldendoodle, treasure hunting at Barnes and Noble, paddleboarding or jet skiing, and all things Fall—especially pumpkins. She holds a degree in Psychology from Biola University and has always had a strong desire to help people who are hurting and be there to support in their time of need. With a deep passion for worship ministry, Janessa is thrilled to now be serving the Austin Ridge body in a new capacity through the Care Ministry.
